Dates and language:

The Conference will start at 09h00 on Monday 13 September and finish as 17h00 the same day. The proceedings of the Conference will be in English with interpretation into Spanish and German. Spoken Portuguese will be interpreted into Spanish, English and German.

A buffet dinner, hosted by the Government of Norway, will be held on Sunday 12th September at 19h00 in the Sky Bar restaurant, 34th floor of the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, to which all participants are cordially invited.

Accommodations:

All participants are responsible for making his/her own hotel reservation and these would need to be made in advance. We urge everyone to do so as soon as possible, and by Monday 23 August at the very latest.

A number of rooms have been reserved at a preferential rate at the Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, where the Conference is held. Please note that the reference code, ILOIMF2010, needs to be quoted to access this preferential rate. After 23 August availability and prices cannot be guaranteed.

The rates per night are NOK 1495, breakfast included, for a standard room and NOK 1995, breakfast included, for a business class room.

Preferential rates are available for arrivals on 12 September and departure no later than 14 September. Payments are made directly to the hotel by the participants on departure.

This hotel is only 5 min walk from Central Station and the Radisson Blu Plaza where the Conference will take place.

Payments are made by participants on departure.

Visas:

In case your national delegation needs a visa to enter Norway, we will issue a signed invitation to the event, which must be used when applying for a visa. Kindly note that it is your responsibility to apply for visa (including transit visas) in due time. We recommend that you contact the nearest Norwegian Embassy as soon as possible for information about visa application procedures.

Applications submitted prior to 19 August will be processed before the conference starts. Applications submitted after this date will be prioritized, but the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration cannot guarantee that they will be processed in time. It is a precondition that the applications contain all the required documentation.

Arriving by air to Oslo - Airport Gardermoen.

Oslo may be reached from all continents with direct flights or via Copenhagen, with departures for Oslo every hour. Our international airport Oslo Airport Gardermoen is situated 50 km from the city centre. Website: www.osl.no.

The airline companies offer individual service to passengers with reduced mobility and special needs. Please indicate your needs when you make your flight reservation. If you use a wheelchair, please note that a wheelchair powered by a spillable battery has to be sent as cargo. Your local airline booking office will provide more information.

An Airport Express Train - Flytoget - takes you from the airport to Oslo Central Station in 19 minutes. The fares are approx. NOK 170 Oslo Central Station one way. The Airport Express Train is accessible and can hold up to 3 wheelchair users on each departure. Website: www.flytoget.no.

InterCity, Express and Local Trains that run via Oslo Airport Gardermoen take you to Oslo Central Station in 25-40 minutes. The fares are approx. NOK 75 to Oslo Central Station one way. These trains are not accessible to wheelchair users. Website Norwegian National Rail (NSB): www.nsb.no.

The SAS Airport Bus runs between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and downtown Oslo every 15 minutes every day. The trip takes 35-40 minutes and the fare is approx. NOK 100 one way. The Airport Bus is not accessible to wheelchair users.

Airport Taxis take you to and from Oslo Airport Gardermoen at fixed prices. On arrival, please contact the taxi information desk in the arrival hall. The fixed prices from the airport to Oslo city centre varies from approx. NOK 660 (weekdays before 5 p.m.) to NOK 775 (weekends and weekdays after 5 p.m.) for 1-4 passengers.
